State Accounting Office Launches Redesigned Website

The State Accounting Office (SAO) of Georgia has officially re-launched their website and their brand. Greg Griffin, the State Accounting Officer, is committed to building a reputation of excellence. To help strengthen that reputation, it is the mission of SAO to become a trusted advocate of all of the organizations it serves while maximizing the experience of our customers and SAO staff members.

In addition to updating the look we have streamlined the content and added several new features that include:

Accounting Policy Manual – This section will have new and updated accounting policies and operational procedures to promote the accurate and consistent recording of financial activity.

Acronyms & Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) – We have created FAQ’s that can serve as a user’s first point of contact when they may be unfamiliar with certain terms or have questions about their daily activities.

Calendar – This section is an interactive calendar of the production schedule, training dates and other events that affect Financial Systems, HCM Systems, Organizational CFO’s and staff.

News & Updates – This section will highlight recent communications and events that are noteworthy to affect Financial Systems, HCM Systems, Organizational CFO’s and staff.

SAO Partnership Program Finder – The SAO Partnership program was initiated to increase the communication between SAO and state agencies. The SAO Partnership Program Finder allows individuals to determine who their SAO contacts are and vice versa.

Search Feature – Now individuals will be able to search through all of the content on the SAO website by using a search bar at the top of the home page.

Quick Links – This section of   our homepage will highlight regularly viewed links by our customers so information is quick and effortless to access.

Get to know the new SAO and join us in our Scavenger Hunt Contest from June 8th through June 12th. Each day three individuals with all the correct answers will be chosen from the day’s entries for a $10 gift card from Starbucks, Target and Chick-fil-A . Read the instructions and get started.
