Now recruiting for jobs in the SMO
July 18, 2008 - GTA has begun recruiting for positions in the SMO. The positions are currently open only to State of Georgia employees. To view job announcements and apply online, visit the state’s Careers website at www.careers.ga.gov. Applications will only be accepted online, and positions will remain open until they are filled.
State of Georgia employees who are interested in applying for a job in the SMO will also find resources for managing their career transition on GTA's Careers Opportunities page. Among the resources is a video produced by GTA and the State Personnel Administration with helpful tips on applying for a job at GTA.
GTA announces SMO leadership team
July 11, 2008 – GTA has announced the leadership team for the Service Management Organization that is being established to oversee providers of technology services to state agencies.
The team will report directly to Derek Reynolds, GTA Chief Operating Officer. They will begin their duties on September 1 or later depending on service transition needs.
Mark Warr, Vendor Management Officer – Mr. Warr joined GTA earlier this year to establish the SMO. Vendor Management is accountable for vendor performance and service level management.
Rory McClure, Products and Services Officer – Mr. McClure is currently an analyst working in GTA Operations. He led development of the GAIT 2010 RFP for Managed Network Services. Products and Services is accountable managing and rationalizing the services portfolio with the needs of GTA, our customers and the partners serving them.
Dean Johnson, Service Delivery Officer – Mr. Johnson is currently GTA Director of IT Infrastructure Services. He led development of the GAIT 2010 Request for Proposal (RFP) for Infrastructure Services. Service Delivery is accountable for ensuring service levels for outsourced services are maintained and continually improved and problems with the day-to-day delivery of services are minimized.
Naomi Richardson, Retained Services Officer – Ms. Richardson is currently GTA Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Retained Services is accountable for managing services retained by GTA.
Donn Massey, Administrative Services Officer – Mr. Massey is currently Director of Administration and Finance in the Office of Information Technology at the Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR). He represents DHR as its agency lead on the GAIT 2010 team. Administrative Services is accountable for the financial and contractual management of the SMO.
Kriste Elia, Transition Director – Ms. Elia is currently Program Director for GAIT 2010. She will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transfer of services from GTA to the service providers.
