GTA is recruiting an experienced Chief Operating Officer to direct an organization of about 75 professionals in the delivery of information technology infrastructure services and managed network services. These services are provided to state and local government agencies in both insourced and outsourced environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of the largest state government outsourcing contracts in the nation. The position reports directly to GTA’s Executive Director, who is also Chief Information Officer for the state of Georgia. The position is located in Atlanta.
We are seeking an executive with:
- a strong combination of business and management skills in the delivery of shared technology services, and
- at least 15 years’ experience in a services company with complex transactions and where technology is mission critical.
Our ideal candidate would have successfully managed the transition of an organization to an outsourced services environment.
GTA’s new COO will be expected to complete the delivery of several key initiatives, including the transformation of the state’s IT infrastructure and managed network services in partnership with external service providers. The new COO will also be expected to work with the CIO to establish and execute a strategy for the effective management of application development in the state’s Executive Branch.

GTA is recruiting for a Program Management Consultant in our Enterprise Program Management Office, which performs program and project management, consultation, assessment and oversight functions for large-scale IT projects. Major responsibilities include:
- providing program and project management oversight, including Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), for technology projects valued at $100,000 or more
- providing leadership and management to third-party IV&V vendors
- coordinating IV&V efforts across multiple projects
- working with state agencies and project teams across state government to develop statements of need for complex technology projects that may exceed $1 million
