Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain was chartered in 1839, making it the second oldest city in DeKalb County. It is located next to the South's premier state park, Stone Mountain Park, which is home to the largest bas relief sculpture in the world. The mountain is also the largest exposed mass of granite in the world. There are also four city parks as well, making it one of metropolitan Atlanta's “greenest” cities.
